Leapfunder – Europe’s biggest Business Angel platform – interviewed Ben Ohloff, founder of 7Druids. Find out how he entered the startup world, what is it about entrepreneurship that particularly attracts him, and what are the lessons for founders he learned over the years.

7Druids started doing consulting and software development for IAT mbH – a leading company when it comes to passenger safety in the automotive industry. 7Druids supports IAT in the development of new and the maintenance of existing tools für crash test simulations and crash test management. We also help IAT in improving its internal standards for software development projects and to establish best practices gained from our 20+ years of experience with highly scalable and secure software systems.

Ben Ohloff became a co-founder of SitEinander and joined the team as CTO and CFO. He will be responsible for building and operating the technical platform (Java-Backend, Android and iOS-Apps) as well as financial planning. Together with three sisters (Anna-Lena, Henrike and Ulrike Gerber) he will help growing the platform to its first thousand users. SitEinander is currently actively looking for co-investors in order to speed up growth and become the number one social network for families with young children in Germany and beyond.

7Druids started developing a social network for families. The network will enable parents with young children to meet like-minded families, organize common activities and help each other out when it comes to childcare and babysitting. Users will be able to access the platform via Android and iOS-App. The Backend will be based on best-practice and industry proven technologies, namely a Java Spring based backend and MySQL cluster.

7Druids GmbH works together with we.conect Global Leaders GmbH in integrating a business match making solution (hubs) with their existing cross-platform app generator for online and offline industry events. The match making solution consists of a configurable survey and scoring system in order to facilitate the identification of common business interests and skills. The solution developed consisted of new functionality for the Android and iOS code base and a backend in Ruby and MySQL.
